Conor Stewart

Master technician. Founder of Beet This.
Author. Dad of three.

I fix what's broken, I bottle what I dreamt up at four in the morning, and I wrote a book about the hardest year of my life. One pair of hands, a few too many side projects, and a family that keeps me going.

The short version

It started with a dream. Literally.

I'm a mechanic from Lossiemouth. A few years back I woke in the middle of the night with a recipe in my head, went downstairs and started blending beetroot and spices — loud enough to wake my wife Iona, who came down convinced something was wrong.

That midnight batch became Beet This. We entered the Great Taste Awards thinking we'd see where it went — and won in 2019. Years on, it's outgrown the kitchen and moved into its own factory in Elgin, gearing up for full production.

I still fix cars, I write the odd song, and somewhere in there I wrote a book about my dad. Three boys and one very patient wife keep the whole thing on the road.
